I loved Hurley losing it when Chang was asking him when he was born and who the president was :) Hurley’s awesome :)

  2. Sun needs a hairbrush.

  3. Manny from the Bronx says:

Loved the episode!!!!! Donald….WHAT IS UP WITH LOCKE??????? Think Locke is Jacob……. So is he going to kill himself???

  4. Jed says:

Hurley bit was great… Alpert being put in his place was very interesting…
Ben’s face at the end was perfection… but all things Jack were not so good.

My brain is still digesting, but my gut is saying it is none too thrilled with the
    way things are progressing.

I am sure I will flip flop by morning.

    yo

  5. Anthony from Tennessee says:

Great episode!!! Im glad miles found out why he his dad sent them off of the island. why doesnt ben and richard want Locke to see jacob? Did Widmore ever get to meet him?

  6. Trayh2 says:

I was hooked when Richard said he saw all Sun’s friends die 5 minutes into the show.

  7. sprspndx says:

Wow. I’m still a little confused about a lot of this. I gave it the highest rating based on the fact that when it was over, I still wanted/was waiting for more. Incredible but I gotta watch this thing again I think….

  8. Trembling Eagle says:

Lost is slick in how they put the goods on display

Oh look we have to take a swim Eloise…..

  9. Sgt. Draino says:

Awesome episode, one of my favorites of all time. I believe Locke is going to kill Jacob because that is what Jacob wants. He has been imprisoned somehow, his existence is a misery, and Locke is going to set him free of that. That is the help that Jacob wanted when he asked Locke to “heeeeelp meeeeeee.” Ben is out for himself as always, alternately trying to pit Richard against Locke, but then tattling on Richard to Locke about what Richard said. I really want Richard to be a good guy, but today it really looks like Richard has something to hide in regards to Jacob. He may turn out to be Jacob’s jailer. I love the way Jack kept getting hit in the face this episode, and it is hilarious that Jack is going to go mess around with this hydrogen bomb, when he knows absolutely nothing about them, and has never even seen one before. Also really awesome to see Marvin Candle united with his son Miles, and now allied with our Losties. A great, great episode. Donald, I think this poll is another that deserves a “6″ option!

  10. Kelly G says:

Agree with Sgt.Draino that prehaps Richard is Jacobs jailer.

Another fantastic epsiode. Very excited about next week, but also a little sad that the season is coming to an end.

What stumped me was Wavy Widmore saying he recognised Faraday.

  11. Hooray4 Hawking says:

Wow! I have no idea how this is going to play out. Locke and Richard and Ben all seem to have their own secret agendas, and I think there will be a few double-crosses coming up. And Ilana’s group is off doing who-knows-what too. As for 1977, I do hope that Phil gets what’s coming to him, and soon, for hitting Juliet.

  12. Tamara says:

Awesome episode I casted my votes! I have to rewatch it though because ABC was fuzzy for me last night. :0

  13. Gunns Bakardy says:

That was really something. We’ve got tunnels that lead to Jughead which is located under Dharmaville. Locke’s fixin’ to kill Jacob. How does a person kill Jacob? Radzinsky’s assumed control of Dharma, and is now out for hostile blood. Skaliet (Sawyer, Kate & Juliet) is on the Galaga. Sayid is back. And how many times do I have to tell you? Ben always has a plan.

I guess my big question is how will all of these elements tie together in the finale. Jacob murder plot in ’07 + possible Jughead detonation in ’77 + Ilana and the mystery crate in ’07 + Hurley’s guitar case in ’77 X everything else that’s going on = ???

I’m more excited for the finale this year than I was last year. As the end of Season 4 approached, we knew where everyone would end up. This year, we don’t. Anything can happen. I’m stoked, man.

I’m looking forward to the podcast. Namaste!

  14. Jamal says:

    Yo yo Donald,

I just loved this episode!!! Lol but I just realized I love all lost episodes :P . But this one was just Hot.
So here are my initial reactions to last night’s episode:

First off all im glad that I got something’s right hehe they do get the updated version of faradays book with all the event till 2007 in it :P

Its cool to see Elly recognize here own writing in it so my question is isn’t faraday older then charlotte or did the writers already explained that when they told us that the actrice playing charlotte was actually to younger then she should have been.

Like charlotte is on the island and (little girl 5-9) and miles as just a baby so must we believe that miles is the youngest of those 3 ?

    John Lock

It was just to cool to see Lock walk in the others camp at the beach with a swine on he’s back and say dinner is here after being away for 3 years.

It’s just cool and really crazy that we see that Lock instructed Richard to help Lock the Time Flasher. And tell him the things he needed to hear.

We also hear here that Richard never new Lock died. But this is some sweet stuff seeing lock and Ben looking at Ben and Richard.

Hehe Think That Ben is Creeped out by Lock and has some nice skid marks inside he’s pants.

Question: Was that the Black rock in the bottle at the start which Richard is building or putting a sail on ????? just curious

Hehe instead of killing Jacob I like some more info about this dude is he one of the Losties or one of the others or just something else special we know that Horace the leader of the others and Yeah we get that Confirmed Horace was the leader Of Dharma.

Some thing else since lost can be present twice on the island. I’m still hoping there is a Twitchy Faraday walking about like in a podcast last week I heard he had 2 different suits in last episode didn’t check that but if that is the case maybe faraday is still there: P.

Cool to see my Main man Said again he keeps proving he is a killing machine without any hesitation he shoots people in lost think he has the biggest Kill count of the whole show.

I must say that the dude that get shot looks like Kimie the or what ever he is a called just the dude that killed alex and had a bomb on him :P

Jack and Kate are on different pages again like always :P

I think it’s a bit harsh to but Kate in the sub with Juliet and Sawyer hehe just good writing those tree can create an own incident lol really want to know what’s going to happen there :P

Richard telling sun that he watched them all die in 1977 cool how is my question and bet we will find that out soon :P

Seeing the tunnels might explain the fast and quietly moving around on the island of the others this was always spoken of but we never saw them actually so that was cool.

And the conversation between Ben and Richard about lock being a problem cool I can’t wait how this going to play out.

Well these are just some thing I liked and as u see I have no bad thing only good so I give this episode a big 9.2 and I hope I can give the final a 10

And then we can say that lost season 5 is one of the best ever like I said I like them all but the last 4 year I have spent so much time on reading theories etc this season we got some answers and the funny part every week they keep surprising me he but hehe that’s just my Opinion:P

Its cool that they gave hurly the line trown back at him. When they first come on the island and into dharma he asked sawyer who is president and some other question but sawyers tells him that it isn’t a game show or something like that.

Good to see Miles reunited with he’s father who is a great dude to just believe crazy faraday that’s something special. But its good they reunited now miles finally see that he’s father had no choice to send them off island and that all the hate that he carried all those years slightly disappears as he realized that.

Ah well think that these responses I just send u is actually longer then the actual episode so ill stop

    Tnx for ur time

    Love ur show
    Keep up the good work
    Peace
    Jamal

  15. Chris says:

I now empathize with the name of this blog, because after last night’s episode I can truely say, ‘Chris is Lost’.

    Chris

  16. sprspndx says:

I just wish Hawking would have told Jack they were going swimming earlier so he would have time to grab his towel shirt.

  17. Kelly G says:

In reference to me earlier post – Of course, Wavy Widmore recognised Faraday from the 50′s time jump!

Knew all this time travel was gonna turn my brain to mush.

  18. HRG says:

I thought this was a great setup for the season finale. The woman always got the shirtless wet Sawyer. The guys finally got something to look at. A wet Eloise Hawking. More of this please.

Count me in with the Kate Hate Club. I wish she would of been taken out of her misery for the fan’s sake. But it was awesome to see Sayid again. He really enjoys killing people doesn’t he?

I’m glad that the season is finishing up strong. The beginning of the season started with a bang. Then midway through we were not sure what the losties purpose was. But here we go again. It is picking up so much steam now.

  19. Angela says:

I feel so guilty for wishing that Kate had been shot…..NOT! But it was a great welcome-back Sayid moment. Pierre Chang may have messed up your childhood Donald, but he did all right by Miles this episode!

  20. Tamara says:

I think Daniel is the youngest out of Charlotte, Miles, and Daniel. Did you see how Charles put his hand on Eloise’s stomach? She is totally pregnant!

  21. Harriet says:

    Tamara,

I agree that Eloise is pregnant. Charles also makes reference to her “condition”. I would be surprised if it was Faraday with whom she was pregnant. Wasn’t it 1996 when Desmond visits Faraday in his lab? (I could be remembering this date wrong). If he was 19 at that point, then that certainly would be impressive. I believe it was said last week that he was the youngest PhD ever at Oxford, so move over Doogie Howser, MD!

  22. Tamara says:

    Harriet,
I totally missed Charles reference to her condition. I think it was 1996 when Desmond saw Faraday at Oxford and you are right Faraday did say he was the youngest PhD at Oxford. I agree she is probably pregnant with Daniel. Now I am wondering how old Penny is. Hmmm…

  23. Debbie says:

The JEOPARDY segment was hilarious . Thanks for the laugh.

  24. Death Metal Nightmare says:

    The Compass.
Ok, so the producers said it was “magic” that keeps it as this eternal item with no origin. As mad as that makes everyone watching the show – where we wants things grounded in material reality and OUR perception of time, or the concept of history – i think its something the producers kind of threw in as a nod to “MYTHIC TIME” – which is eternal and cyclical. its about the past always being in, or returning to the present.

we dont really know the symbolic meaning of the compass yet (if they even give it one) – but this is the way im going to view it… for now. its basically Myth vs. History. similar to the light vs. dark, spiritualism vs. materialism. its just one more category the writers are smearing together into a gray area.

i wouldnt say they all fit onto their respected teams… because some of the stories they reference, like the biblical stories, are very much embedded in historical consciousness (things that happened and can never be re-enacted) – not mythic consciousness.

    RANT – COMPLETE

  25. Death Metal Nightmare says:

“i wouldnt say they all fit onto their respected teams…”

    i probably should clarify this.
Myth, Dark and Spiritualism should be looked at as “the same team”. neither are Light, History and Materialism/Science. in some cases they are but like i pointed out – the Christian stories they visit are spiritual but very much historically embedded. Jesus died once and only returns at the “final judgement”. its not cyclical.

or to put a twist on the other end of the spectrum, many people call the chauvinism of Science/Materialism the “mythology of the modern world.” BOOYAH
