AWESOME episode! Finally get confirmation that Christian was Smokey. I loved that the sideways was multied centric like “LA X”. I didn’t think we would ever see Jin & Sun reunite. Jack doesn’t want to leave the island, I think we all saw that coming. AWESOME

ugh, this episode was pretty Blah.

it just reeked of setup and had so many cliche “LOST” devices and lines of dialog (“we gotta goooooooo back”) that its getting tiring the nerves. so many corny moments for this late in the game. i think im just not as interested in the Heroic end of the spectrum of our characters as the producers want me to be. i dont feel any strong investment in any of them really.

    sideways: snore.

im just hoping the finale has a lot of deaths and something radical in the storytelling because so far this season has been a lot of frustration. and im not talking Answers – im talking compelling, dynamic, urgent stories within the world they weaved for the past six years. if this is all they can muster, its been a mediocre series for all the hype it generated.

I thought the episode was good… NOT great and not even close to (awesome).

It was all over the place…the pace was just off, still don’t have a clue as to what the HELL they are trying to do! They kept Jin and Sun apart so long that their “reunion” felt akward. I don’t know Donald I’m worried WE have invested a lot in this show and I think in the end WE are going to get punked!

Awesome episode. Answerific (MiB stuff & stuff).

    1. If Christian was the Monster, then how come he appeared on the freighter, since we know that the Monster can’t travel over water? I can understand why some of Christian’s apparitions to Jack (e.g., off-island) may have been hallucinations, but Michael can’t have hallucinations of Christian since he doesn’t even know the guy.

    2. What happened to Christian’s body? The coffin was sealed when Jack opened it, and there was no Christian there. MIB clearly does not “inhabit” dead bodies (he pretended to be Locke and Yemi, but did not inhabit their bodies). So, what happened to Christian’s body?

    3. Why didn’t MIB just kill Desmond himself? He’s killed all sorts of people before, and it seems that the Rules only stop him from killing Candidates.

    4. Why does a Korean woman say “I love you” to her Korean husband? I guess the whole useless “I can’t speak English” subplot played itself out…

  6. sprspndx says:

Having “Chesty” Lapidus as an option was inspired. Genius.

  7. RyanWayne1313 says:

How about Sawyer offering Kate an apple out of nowhere? A nod to them being Adam & Eve? This episode was only ok. Need to really step it up in the next 4 eps.

  8. Stubble says:

    5. Which Christian appeared at the bottom of the well to Locke? Are we to believe that MIB time-travelled with the rest of the Losties? That’s kind of arbitrary isn’t it? Even if he did time travel, then he would return to the present time with the rest of the Losties, not before them, so he could take Locke’s form, and do all that other stuff before the Losties flashed back to 2007.

  9. brermike says:

I think smokey can take the form of dead people like he said but also appear as apparitions of dead people. With Locke, he is actually in Locke’s form. With Isabella, he was projecting an image that he took from Richard after he scanned him. You could hear the smoke monster still outside the Black Rock when Isabella was on screen. This would also explain how he could appear on the freighter and off the Island. He can project an image anywhere he wants, but he is physically confined to the Island.

The apparitions off the Island could still be the Island itself, but that remains to be seen.

  10. Silmarwen says:

I really liked this episode – it wasn’t superbly super, but it was enjoyable all the way through, I thought. Things are moving along at the speed I want them to be moving at this point. Btw – was I the only one certain that Sun and Jin would get Mikhailed by the sonic fence? I mean – what if they hadn’t had the time to turn it off? *sigh*

  11. Susan Jacobson says:

The Episode was kind of eh. I have a couple of theories now, tho:

    1. Juliet is Jack’s ex-wife. She will come to the hospital to pick up David, run into Sawyer, and – R E M E M B E R.
    2. I think Anthony Cooper will also show up at the hospital. I wonder if giving his dad his kidney put John Locke in a wheelchair? The ambulance medic said that the wheelchair saved Locke’s life, just like Locke’s missing kidney saved his life in “Cabin Fever” when Ben shot him.
    3. I still wonder about Anthony Cooper. Could he be an iteration of MIB?

  12. sandy says:

I was so happy to see Ilana. I had a theory that when we first see Ilana with Jacob at the hospital and she’s all bandaged up, that she is there after she flashed from blowing up with the dynamite. I loved her character, she spent her whole life training to protect the candidates for Jacob, I just knew, he could not let her get killed never to be seen again.

btw, Kate has to end up with Sawyer, if you look at the first epi, you can see that Sawyer has liked her from the moment he set eyes on her. I think Susan Jacobson is right about Juliet.

  13. Barb says:

So why didn’t Jack’s mother attend the reading of the will? I thought that was strange.
