Good episode. Great to see Mikhail with two eyes for most of the episode. I was surprised that Sun didn’t go with MIB to be reunited with Jin. It’s good to see most of our theories now are correct, that Desmond was in the room. Best line of the episode, Illana reply to Ben about not trusting him when he opens his mouth, funny.

AMAZING EPISODE!!! I’M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY DESMOND’S BACK!
I will post more once I put my face back on and my head unexplodes…

  3. Cokelogic says:

Widmore’s package isn’t in the running for the hot awards? ;p

  4. Mr badd says:

Widemore’s folks need to check their package cause it looks pretty limp. Damn it I’m a geologist not a doctor Jim.
Sorry mike c, but the best line was Sawyer’s to MIB. Of course you’re going to take a boat over to the other island cause just floating on over to the other island would be silly.
Think I butchered that line, sorry James.

  5. Danielle from the Netherlands says:

It was an enjoyable episode, but since last weeks was such a superb episode, it’s really hard to come back with an equal episode.

I think they are realling building up to something.

    Desmond is back!!!!! YAHOOOOO

Great episode! I loved how we got a little bit of everyone in this episode, while still focusing on Sun and Jin. Sun and Jin’s flash sideways were real interesting. This time around, I really want to see what happens next in the flash sideways. Not that I didn’t enjoy past flash sideways, but this story is one of the more compelling.

Very good episode, an 8.5 on the Darlton scale. Best line goes to Hurley after Sun goes into her Korean rant and he responds “I guess she’s not going.”

One more thing, the ABC promos on the bottom of the screen should be banned!

  8. music by Len says:

While there were things to like about this episode, I found the Sun and Jin story to be a real waste of time, with so few hours left.

I may be proven wrong but I doubt that this was necessary to fill in any story holes. Maybe I just listen to too many podcasts, but it seemed that we had already figured out the most likely reason(s) for Jin being held by Keamy, and spending so much time revealing it . . . . well it just seems like a waste.

With very little time left, I was expecting more and was left a bit disappointed.

Oh yeah, like we didn’t expect Mikhail to lose any eye during the episode.

  9. Tara says:

    OK I have a prediction/theory:
Sun is going to be taken to the hospital and meet Claire, and get opperated on by Ethan, Jack, Juliet, or all of the above. (Is Claire at St. Sebastian’s?) If the bullet hit her spine she may need Jack, and she may need Juliet’s research to either save her baby or make it so that she can have another one. That would be a cool way to bring more people together in the flash sideways. I know you don’t really care about the flash sideways though…
PS I’m sorry if this is blasphemous, but I’m gonna go ahead and say that as of now, I like this episode a little better than Ab Aeterno. Sorry everyone…

  10. buzmeg says:

@tara: It’s not blasphemous and you shouldn’t apologize. You have the right to voice your opinion even if the majority doesn’t agree with you. I didn’t like Ab Aeterno and expressed my view last week.

I also like the ATL and I’m looking forward to seeing how the timelines will impact each other and the end of the series.

Great episode. Great reveal with Desmond’s return. But what does he possess that is so essential? Why is Sayid apathetic? He feels no emotion. He is dead in spirit.

This sideline flash is not a “what-would-have-happened-if-the-plane-landed” flash. If this is true, the the pasts of the Losties would be the same, only the events after the landing would have been altered. So how are the pasts changed? What happened, happened, right?

And don’t leave us Donald! We need you!

  12. mr badd says:

    The package has landed.
The work of Joseph Conrad “Heart of Darkness”, previously referenced on Lost is again very relevant but more so it’s adaption by Francis Ford Coppola and John Milius: Apocalypse Now
    Kurtz is on the Island!
    Colonel Walter E. Kurtz = F-Locke/MIB
Captain Benjamin L. Willard = Sayid
Dogen sent Sayid to kill F-Locke/MIB just like the U.S. Army sent Captain Benjamin L. Willard to assasinate Colonel Walter E. Kurtz. Both are ‘turned’ and gravitate to the dark philosphies of their spiritually bankrupt fathers. But will Sayid fulfill the role of Capt Willard and Judas (from the Lost Supper) and slay F-Locke/MIB? Regardless, Sayid’s humanity appears gone and that may be the real battle occuring on the Island.
