Sayid stabbed MIB after he talked, not before. But we can’t lose MIB just yet anyway. I can’t believe almost everybody in the temple followed MIB, it shows me that they don’t have loyalty, they just follow the guy with the most power.

Awesome episode! Come on hot Claire, stay true to your word! Good to see BA Sayid again. Sayonara Dogen.

  3. Manny from the Bronx says:

Donald just saw the best action movie this year!!!! Great episode!!! Loved watching Keamy die again!!!!!

Absolutely loved the on island stuff; I mean it was great! The alt time line on the other hand might jumped the shark when Jin was in Keamy’s meat locker. I’ve lost all faith in the alt stories.

I know that slow motion walking toward the camera is redundant and has been overused on many shows and movies, but on Lost tonight, I think it was fantasterific. No it was Fantabulous. No, awesomagnificent. I think you get my drift. Anyway, the “Catch a Falling Star” singing in the background, dead bodies everywhere, and slow motion gathering outside the temple really had an effect on me. I was actually shaking a little. Everyone was fooled into thinking this was a Sun/Jin episode because of the title. I was dreading it like most people dread Kate eps, but I was pleasantly suprised to see it was Sayid centric. He rocked tonight. Claire also keep the creep factor high. The look on Ben’s face when he saw Sayid was PRICELESS. Keep up the great work Donald.

  6. Mr badd says:

Sayid is a Good Man. In fact, I don’t know anyone who takes orders to murder better than Sayid. Let’s see, he’s murdered for: the Republican Guard, the CIA, back to the Republican Guard, in defense of the Losties, Ben, then he just starts killing first and asking questions later, he follows his own voices to try and kill young Ben, then Jack pulls an intervention and gives Sayid new direction to kill everyone on the Island with a nuclear bomb, then Dogen gets him to stab Locke, then Locke returns the favor and gets him to kill Dogen and when he saw Ben, he gave Ben A look that sent Ben scurrying for the nearest rat hole. He may give smokey a run for the highest body count. And let’s give a shout out for his revenge rematch against Keamy. I was hoping for a full out smack-down like the earlier Dogen/Sayid kick-ass, full on terror in the Temple. But, Sayid just quietly shed a tear for the last shred of his soul, as he sends Keamy on a bullet train journey to the next dimension. Maybe in the next flash sideways reality rematch will take place in Thunder Dome. Anyway it was an awesome episode, I just wished that Sayid would’ve just followed dogen’s instructions but no he has to leave a shred of doubt–To my theory that Flocke is possessed and not a completely invulnerable creature. If you are going to blindly follow the orders of the guy who just tortured you and tried to poison you and are going to murder someone you know and have no particular reason to kill, then just DO IT and don’t F it up!

I give the first 55 minutes a 2.7 and the last 5 minutes a 5. If an episode is not amazing by 9:57, I tend to give up hope, but tonight proved me wrong. Holy crap.
Also, are we gonna have an “Other 48 Days” style episode where we find out how Ilana and friends got to the Temple in the nick of time and all seemed to suddenly know exactly what was up? I think we should…

  8. Tara says:

And one more thing: I love Sayid, but I am SO SICK AND TIRED

  9. Tara says:

    (continued)
…of episodes all about whether he’s a good man, and of him saying “he doesn’t do that anymore” (torture and kill, that is) and then does it! Dear Darlton, Sayid still does that, he always will, he’s probably a really bad person but we love him anyway. MOVE ON!

  10. The Deleuzian says:

this is the episode we needed. probably one of my favorites, outside of finales, since “The Shape of Things to Come”. massive action, deaths, darkness. the stakes have been raised! its now urgent and danger is out there.

a lot of people were iffy on this it seemed because it didnt have some sort of “puzzle” mystery to think about – too bad. it was getting boring just trying to figure out the puzzle stuff when the writers only leave you with what they want you to see.

“well it could be a theoretical super-worm-pseudo-quantum-mega-verse… that the bomb created/destroyed.”

so Dogen was the reason for keeping smokey out of places the entire time? strange. does the talisman on his neck have anything to do with that? we’ll probably never know but the ash is no longer relevant for the time being. mystery solved – confirmed! ;)

  11. Mamapax says:

I have hope we might see that talisman again…not necessarily on Dogen’s neck, but perhaps someone will go back and retrieve it, because it does has real importance…or is it just another red herring meant to keep us busy until they can get to the real story they are trying to tell.

I can easily compare Lost to my children: I love and adore them, but sometimes they can drive me crazy! :)

    Best Fight Ever.

Kudos to you for your “Giacchino Moment” ala Keys to Lost. I bet Matt is laughing his a** of right now! And your “10 ways to solve LOST” was probably the most hilarious thing I have ever heard in my life! No exaggeration (okay, maybe a little).

As always, great job Donald. This is by far the most well-edited, most unique, and most insane LOST podcast out there!
