In this episode Donald and Anna from Jacob’s Cabin give initial thoughts to “Lighthouse”. email- lost@donaldislost.com or call in 206-984-1289.

Lighthouse = more undiscovered mystic monuments, keep them coming Dameon & Carlton! I think Jack’s memory lapses will continue to grow and become worse. I really enjoyed Hurley’s talking to dead Jacob and leading Jack thru the jungle old school fashion. Looks like on-island Jack is back in season 1 form, guess Jacob won’t be monitoring any candidates with his funky reality bending mirrors. Too bad, I wanted the bearing to check out Ilana in the hot tub. RE: last week’s Substitute episode, Did anyone else notice the guitar-like instrument in the cave on the table with the balance?
Initial thoughts:
Can’t wait for the Claire vs. Kate “cat-fight”
Daddy Jack did your father ever mention a Claire Littleton?
Daddy Jack’s ex-wife’s house number is “23″
A match made in heaven or maybe hell Not-Locke and Not-Claire BFF.
So first off, David Shephard… hmm kinda like David in the bible who was a shepherd? anyways…
He seems to have the same eyes as Kate but i guess that doesnt make any sense since Jack and Kate have already seen each other at the airport… Dogen also has a son… do you think that somehow their children will all end up playing a big part at the end of the season? including Walt, Ji Yeon?, Aaron, little Charlie… IDK just a random thought… maybe David , being so musically inclined, is the one who somehow programs the “Good Vibrations” that CHarlie has to decipher? Im so confused!
After 2nd watch:
On the Lighthouse wheel Austen = 51
I am now starting to wonder about that cave. I mean, is it even Jacob’s? Why would Jacob need a DARK cave when he has a LIGHThouse.
The list was also in the lighthouse, so maybe both sides were keeping an eye on the list. Besides, Smokey is a total liar!
P.S.
Claire totally freaked me out with her, “…he’s my friend.” And I am really worried about Miles, now that someone “bad” is coming to the temple.
Austen 51, Sawyer 15: Just found it curious!
I really liked this episode, but I have to say it.
I HATE the alt timeline. I couldn’t care less about it, it bores the poo (keeping it clean for your website) out of me.
Otherwise it was great.
Lighthouse weirdness.
108 on the lighthouse wheel had the name Wallace crossed out.
However, as Hurley turns the wheel and the arrow approaches 108, that’s when Jack see what looks like a Japanese building with trademark Japanese style roofing.
Jack looks behind him out to sea then looks back to the mirror. (Note: Hurley is still turning the wheel and gone way past the intended 108 he said he was aiming for.) Jack then sees another building (a building with a spire) and informs Hurley to stop. They see nothing in the mirror so Hurley continues. We get an arrowless shot of the wheel between 70-43 and see “Austen” not crossed out at 51.
Jack takes over at around the 40 mark and turns the wheel to 23 where he sees the house he grew up in.
So, is the building at 108 Dogen’s house?
The building with spire is somewhere between 90-72 at a guess.
What does it all mean…if anything? lol
I am so sick of hearing fans cry about the alt time line. (that means you too Donald)
These are still the same characters that we have grown to love or hate. We are just being shown how their lives would be different if they had not crashed. I think it is very interesting, and it is showing us that there are differences in their lives both before and after flight 815. And it could be telling us that the entire time line we have seen over the past seasons that led to them crashing on the island was orchestrated by someone/something. The alt time line we are seeing now seems to be how their lives would be with out being pushed toward the island.
Ok, on reflection the building with spire could be the church from young Sawyers parents funeral.
The Japanese (or Korean) style building could be where Sun & Jin got married.
Jacob visited both places to touch the losties.
@Jason, I totally agree with your above post.
I do ponder that the “alt-timeline” (I really hate that phrase) could be the real timeline and the “crash-timeline” is the “alt-timeline”
Anyone have a theory on who is David’s mother?
Sarah, Kate, Ana Lucia, Cassidy?
I found myself daydreaming during the flash sideways, that’s how boring it is. Our life experiences shape our beliefs, personalities, opinions, and actions. Aside from names and appearances, the people in the flash sideways are not the people we have spent 6 years getting to know. Like the on island scenes – another great decision by Jack – don’t think, just react!
Thankyou for not putting Mrs. Shepperd in the Hottie Awards Lisings
Anyone have a theory on who is David’s mother?
Sarah, Kate, Ana Lucia, Cassidy?
This is why I hate the alt timeline. I don’t care about the answer to that question. It could be any of those and it wouldn’t make a bit of difference to me.
They are the same actors for the characters I grew to love and hate, but not the characters. I don’t care about the alt timeline characters at all, they are not the same.
Rant over.
donald, I know you hate resets, but can you take a look at this image of the loop and let me know what you think! http://silverlaketosoho.com/blog/entertainment/lost-so-far-thoughts-up-to-6-06-2/#loopimage
buzmeg, my crackpot theory is that David’s mother is Libby. Don’t know why, but then again, why not?
I also think that in the alt timeline, we will see Kate and Jack run into each other again via mistaken identity. Jack will be looking for Claire since she’s mentioned in his father’s will, and Kate has Claire’s credit card so that could be how they reconnect.
Hooray4 Hawking, good theory. My crackpot theory was that Claire’s credit card would lead to Kate’s capture. However, your theory is valid should Jack decide to “track” Claire via the credit card trail and wind up finding Kate.
Crackpot theory: There is a timeloop and there was a huge, ginormous, fantastical, Homeric clue in this episode. Think about it. Timeloops are circular in nature. What did Jack order for David? A pizza.
What shape are pizzas? Round. Ergo, the pizza proves there is a timeloop.
*awkward silence*
*Avarice is axed by Crazy Claire*
Loved most of episode, Claire’s part not included, am not liking this at all.
Hurley was sooo funny, he had great lines, I agree with Anna & Donald with this.
The kid David, looked so like Jack, that was good casting.
Could the mother be Sara ? this timeline maybe they divorce after they have a child? maybe…..
My head hurts.!
