Episode 81 What Wendy Substitutes (mytharc)

In this episode we get a hint of what Ms. Wendy from the Lost revisited Now is up to in the Alt world and on the Island. We also get some more answers on Denise from Jacob’s Cabin has been doing…or is it Denise? Some familiar faces might show up along the way, but the you have to listen to see…or watch to hear…
I disagree that the other timeline has no point. Jacob brought all these people to the island to find someone to replace him in protecting the island. MIB says there was no need to do that.
Would the lives of all those Jacob brought to the island have been better if he never brought them there? If the normal world goes along just fine even if the island is underwater just how important is the island? If the normal world and the lives of the losties would have been better without Jacob getting involved with them, then MIB is correct and Jacob is wrong. Jacob ruined all these people’s lives to protect something that could be buried underwater without any consequence to the rest of the world.
We NEED to see the other timeline to determine for ourselves if Jacob really needed to bring them to the island. We need to see if there is even a need for the island.
Right now everything in the other timeline looks great. It looks like a happy ending which makes Jacob looks like a jerk who lured people to an island where alot of them died. I predict the other timeline’s purpose will be to show us that Jacob’s action where justified. His actions need to be justified in order to understand the true stakes of the battle with MIB.
So in summary the purpose of the other timeline is to show if Jacob or MIB was correct and if the island is important.
A couple of episodes ago you questioned why Jacob gave Hurley a suitcase with the ankh with the note inside instead of just a note. Come on Donald if Hurley just pulled a note out of his pocket that would have meant nothing to Dogen. He had to see that it was contained inside of something handcrafted with a symbol that was meaningful to him as proof it came from Jacob, otherwise they would have been gunned down.
Alot of people whine about Claire getting into the car with Kate being illogical or blame poor writing. Are you kidding me, watch the news how often do people do dumb things. The smartest people in the world do dumb things. Why is this so out there. People are different we can’t apply our own logic to others to determine what is realistic and what isn’t. I’m sure everyone has done something and later said what was I thinking, but if it happens on a show so may are quick to cry poor writing. To those who do Stop being so quick to think “poor writing” anytime someone doesn’t react the way you would, its just poor thinking on your part.
