I demand more men for the hot awards! What about Drunk Sawyer? Or Freaked-out Richard? Or even teacher Ben? They’re all better than naked bath Locke!

  2. Tara says:

Consider this my write-in vote for Richard.

  3. Mr badd says:

He’ll & damnation! We got the best of both worlds. John Locke is alive and well and united with Helen. Good for John! He’s got the same ole issues but he went on his walkabout!!! He’s also got a friend in Hurley, who dislikes Randy as much as he does. And then there is man in black! Wow! After all the great scenes between Michael Emerson and Terry O’Quinn, I was floored by Josh Hollaway’s scenes with Terry. Josh has followed his remarkable perfomance over Juliet’s death with a tour de force as he struggles with his decision to join with MIB. Not withstanding the chance to party in the temple hot tub with Ilana, I’d be sorely tempted to go with MIB. One of the best episodes ever!

  4. LostVoice says:

Woah! Fantastic episode! Helen’s alive and Hugo is happy! Nothing is better. Also I loved when FLocke said ” Don’t tell me what I can’t do!”. Was it just me or did it sound the same, but completely different at the same time? Love the podcast and I can’t wait for the next episode!

I’m with Tara on the hot awards choices, here’s another write-in vote for Freaked-Out Richard.

  6. Jason says:

    Three questions.
    1. Locke can’t get in to his van because Hurley parked too close. So how did Hurley get out of his Hummer?
    2. Is there a back door to Smokey’s cave, or are we going to see Sawyer fixing the ladder next week?
    3. The black and white symbolism was brought up again this episode with the two stones on the balancing scales in the cave. We are given the impression that Jacob represents the white and Smokey the black. So my question is about Adam and Eve. Jack found a bag with both a white and black stone on the skeletons. Could this mean that the skeletons are Jacob and Smokey? I think Jack said that one of the skeletons was a woman, so maybe Smokey was originally a woman? Maybe that is why Smokey was so mad at Jacob.

  7. Michael C says:

To be honest I didn’t really like this episode. How can Sawyer readily accept Smokey Locke for who he is and follow him off the island? The numbers are referring to Candidates? Come on.
Also when Smokey Locke said he wanted to go “home” I thought he meant The Temple not off island. I don’t like this Alt Locke

  8. Fliptron4040 says:

Great freakin’ episode! Lots of questions answered!

I have a theory as to why Kate wasn’t on that wall. As we all know, Kate did interact with Jacob when she was young, so she has something to do with the island candidacy. What if this was a play by Jacob, a backup plan of sorts, just in case something happens to the other “numbers”. Perhaps when Locke died, Kate automatically filled that role. Since she wasn’t on the wall, FLocke has no idea the seat is filled. I predict that in the end, Flocke gets his butt checkmated from beyond Jacob’s grave because of this clever move. I’d like to know what you think.

  9. Fliptron4040 says:

I have another theory. When Ben was shot, he was taken to the temple to be healed. Richard said that if he is healed, he will never be the same again. When those on the island are near death, they can be claimed. What if Ben was claimed by the one, the only, Arzt! Arzt is a teacher with a stick up his butt. Parallel Universe Ben is also a teacher who seems to have the same trait. I know a lot of people may poo poo the idea because Arzt died in 2004, well after the incident. However, I think that ghosts have a way of moving through timelines because they do not have the limitations that a physical body brings.

  10. MadTown Rachel says:

Count one write-in vote for Dogan as Hot Award.

  11. mr badd says:

doh! Guess I heard what I wanted to hear. John Locke still didn’t get to go walkies! But hoorah anyway for hooking up with Helen, getting fired, and meeting Hugo.

I’m ready to sign up with Flocke/MIB. Let’s go exploring down the tunnel and find out more. 5 years on the Island and Jacob hasn’t provided any answers, I’m thinking Flocke/MIB could get lots of Lost fan recruits if he follows thru with a couple of friggin answers.

I think this episode has ‘reset’ Season 6 and put it on a path to blow all Lost fans minds!

  12. Steffiecakes says:

Did anyone else notice the poster on the wall when Rose stepped in to Lockes interview? I swear Desmond is on it, with either Nadia or Ana Lucia!
and also, why was that creepy kid bleeding in the first scene, then afterwards not?

  13. Cokelogic says:

The big reveal of this episode is Illana is especially chesty in her tight red shirt. I’d like to send a big thanks to the wind that blew her vest open.

  14. Avarice says:

Fantastic episode. I need to watch it again to pick up on all of the information…

  15. Samantha says:

A beat up, scared Richard is still THE hottest guy on lost.

  16. bobdole369 says:

Jason, It was Lockes Driver Side against Hurley’s Passenger side, so Hurley just got out. Oddly earlier in the episode the lift was on Lockes Passenger side. Maybe his lift works on both sides…. Hmmmmm.

Maybe the “unnumbered” people are special. And the numbered ones are to be crossed off? So Kate, Either Aaron or Claire (unsure but I did see “313-Littleton” already crossed off?), either Jack or his dad (Shepard) and I don’t recall Rose and Bernards last name, and I didn’t see the pilot there either.

Maybe Sawyer accepted Flocke because he’s half drunk at this point. He seems really done with the whole island and just wants off badly. I don’t think Flocke could have found a better ally out of any of the losties.

  17. Kelli says:

A substitute teacher is NOT provided by a temp agency in California. How can the writers make such a easily researched blunder?

Anyway, I’m finding the off island, sideways stories distracting. If the ’77 Losties blew up the bomb to change events, then it brings up more questions. How is Ben off the island in 2004? Wasn’t he with the Others near-death in ’77? Why is off island Locke not fuming over his kidney stealing dad? Helen actually mentioned that Cooper would be at the wedding. What??? I could go on and on with this.

    Kelli from California

  18. buzmeg says:

bobdole369, Jason is correct. Locke’s wheelchair ramp is on the passenger side of his mini-van. Hurley could never have emerged from the Hummer given how close it was to Locke’s van. The sequence is at the 15 minute mark of the episode.

  19. Shirl says:

Loved the episode. I was wondering why the smoke monster needs a back pack and what happens to it when he is smok’n. I think that Sawyer will go along with flock as long as he thinks he can get off of the island. Sawyer will kill him As soon as he thinks flock is just messing with him.

  20. Brandon says:

Hey, Donald. Here’s a crackpot theory about Locke. In “Sideways World” when Helen and Locke are discussing wedding plans, Helen wants to have a small wedding with her family and Locke’s dad. Locke’s mother is never mentioned. What is she had something to do with Locke being paralyzed in the alternate timeline and Locke therefore has a bad relationship with her?
