It’s finally here, my own personal unedited thoughts of the series opener “LA X”. After a few initial reaction earlier this week I had time to think and theorize and here is what I came up with. Thanks for all the great feedback in the communication station and Charlotte Lewis returns to host the Finer Things club segment. I’ve listened to everything you did during the hiatus and I’m totally pleased that I found your “stuff” as I totally enjoyed your opinions and theories.
My question for you re: LA X: How many times have you actually watched this episode prior to you creating the podcast?

Someone (perhaps you Donald) needs to give Smokey/Flocke/MIB/ a Season six frame of reference. IMHO this character cannot be referred to as Locke. He’s not Locke. On the island Locke is dead. The new season six character is just using Locke’s image. With the alternate reality we’ll be seeing present day Locke and Island Locke (Smokey).
I belive that jacobe and nemisis are the same entity , battling out for control with the powers of light and dark. The ying and yang.
I think the LA X means Lax in 2010 as X = 10.

Buzmeg–I agree! We need a standard name for this guy, since the show does not seem to want to name him! My vote is for Blocke. Bad Locke…Blocke.
Or maybe Smokey + Locke = Smocke.
I wish I would have been named “Guns,” or maybe “Gunz” – that would have been cool.
Oh yeah, brilliant to be back in a groove with LOST and Donald is LOST!!
I need to call in a grinds my gears sometime. That sounds fun.

Hey Donald,
After listening to you discuss my crackpot theory of Juliet being pregnant, I agree that it doesn’t make much sense. You put it perfectly when pointing out why would the writers want to put James through anymore after losing the woman he loves for the past 3 years.
I guess that’s why it’s called crackpot.
I am totally on board with the idea that Juliet when talking about “going dutch” was flashing like Charlotte was.
I’m assuming that James and Juliet meet in this weird alternate time-line.
Of course that sounds like the writers will be making him suffer when he can’t keep her in the end.
Looking forward to your next podcast. Are they going to be twice a week??

Hey I like Anna’s idea that we need to have a good name for the 2007 alive John Locke.
I do like the name she gave.
So should it be something cute and catchy like Anna suggested or something more manly like
“Jacob’s Enemy, AKA The Smoke Monster, AKA that thing taking the form of John Locke”
Nah, that’s not so catchy.
I like nemesis or enemy myself. I think it was used to describe the character within the captions or on Lostpedia.
And maybe we can all agree to refer to Jed as “Gunz” . . . you know, just until he can grow a beard so thick that even Cara cannot destroy it!!!
