Meet the Hosts

CHARLOTTE STAPLES LEWIS

rebAn incredibly gifted cultural anthropologist, Charlotte grew up on the Island with her family during the DHARMA Initiative days. She eventually escaped with her mother, leaving behind both her father and her best friend Donald. She spent the rest of her life trying to find the Island again. This was mostly due to her mother’s insistence that she had made it all up, though it also provided her with a chance to find her dad. As part of the Freighter Science Team which eventually rediscovered the Island, Charlotte parachuted back onto the Island. This is where she met Donald again and she was offered a co-hosting position on the Donald is Lost podcast, which she graciously accepted. Due to the increasingly rapid time travel of the Island, Charlotte unfortunately suffered from a life-threatening condition. She survived on the Island for 16 days before a fatal brain aneurysm (or so it seemed) finally claimed her life. In episode 25 of Donald is Lost it was revealed that Charlotte was resurrected and brought off Island to help bring the Oceanic 6 back. Charlotte was killed by Mikhail off the Island and brought back on Ajira 316 where she revived for a second time. She currently hosts the Finer Things Club segment of the Donald is Lost podcast.

MIKHAIL BAKUNIN

Mikhail was a member of the Others and a former Soviet soldier who lived in  the Flame station on the Island, where he was stationed to manage communications with the outside world.  Mikhail was a trusted lieutenant of Ben Linus, long-time leader of the Others. After his capture by a small group of flight 815 survivors, John Locke pushed him through the sonar fence, and he was thought to have been killed, but he survived, attributing his survival to the fence’s non-lethal setting. He was later shot in the chest with a spear gun, but survived long enough to detonate a grenade outside the window of the Looking Glass station. He perished when the grenade detonated in his hand, or so it would seem. It was later revealed that Mikhail survived this incident and befriended Donald, turning away from his affiliation with the Others, re-building the Flame station and using the technology to retrieve voicemails and emails sent in to the Donald is Lost podcast. Mikhail bravely turned the studio’s donkey wheel, moving the studio through time and space to a new home on the Island. Mikhail was believed to be banned from the studio but he later returned to the Island with the help of Christian Shephard, Ben Linus and Charlotte Lewis, as revealed in episode 25 of the podcast. Mikhail currently resides in the Flame station and has resumed his role on the show, where it appears he holds the secret to Charlotte’s recent resurrection.
